A 6-year-old boy was shot and killed in a suburban Cleveland hotel room Saturday morning, and his mother was wounded.
Police said an arrest had been made in the case but said they wouldn’t release further information until formal charges are filed, Brooklyn Police said.
Police said they were called to the Fairfield Inn and Suites at about 7 a.m., where 30-year-old Danechia Bringht told them she and her son had been shot about 30 minutes before police arrived.
Officers performed CPR on her son until EMS personnel arrived. The boy was pronounced dead at the scene, and the mother was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center, where she was treated and released.
The medical examiner’s office identified the 6-year-old as Kaamir Bringht, WOIO said.
Bringht called 911 from the hotel’s front desk after the shooting.
