Arizona police have arrested a man who apparently severed his finger while slashing his neighbors tires earlier this month.
Kevin Johnson has been charged with criminal damage, assault, threatening and intimidating, and disorderly conduct stemming from both tire-slashing and a disagreement the previous night that apparently led to the incident, the Maricopa Monitor said.
As CrimeOnline previously reported, Francesca Wikoff found the slashed tires and the finger — along with a trail of blood leading to Johnson’s house — when she came outside on the morning of April 15.
Wikoff said that the previous evening, Johnson invited himself to a gathering at another neighbor’s house, where he reported became intoxicated and belligerent. He allegedly tried to pick a fight with Wikoff’s husband and then shoved her before the neighbors asked him to go.
Wikoff said she was fairly certain the tire-slasher was Johnson, and not just because of the incident.
“My neighbor heard him yelling and crying, probably about like 10:30 p.m., so we figured that’s when it happened,” Wikoff said.
