Two young girls are in critical condition at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia after they were found unresponsive by police officers responding to calls that a woman had jumped from a third-floor window.
Police said they found the two girls, one 2-years-old and the other 4-years-old, inside a third floor apartment in northwestern Philadelphia, according to NBC Philly. Both girls had facial trauma.
They were called to the apartment shortly before noon on Thursday.
The woman was identified as the girls’ mother. She was taken to a nearby hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.
She is in police custody at Presbyterian Hospital.
No other information was released.
