Police in Irvine, California, have asked for help identifying a man suspected of sexual battery inside a Target store earlier this week.

They described the suspect as a light-skinned, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, thin build, 35 to 45 years old. He was wearing a long-sleeved, button-up shirt with the sleeves rolled up, gray pants cuffed at the bottom, and flip-flops.

The victim was with her family inside the store on Monday, police said, when she briefly separated from her family and went to another aisle. At that point, the man came up to the girl from behind and groped her, police said.

The girl ran away from him and back to family; the suspect ran from the store and fled in a vehicle, believed to be a 2014 to 2018 Kia Soul.
