As Fox 35 Orlando reports, 16-year-old Chloie Mercado has been missing from her home in New Smyrna Beach since March 6. Law enforcement sources reportedly said they believe Chloie may be in the company of an adult male by the name of ‘Bobby.’
The relationship between the teen and the possible suspect is not known.
The New Smyrna Beach Police Department has asked for anyone with possible information on the teen’s whereabouts to come forward.
Anyone who might have information is urged to call New Smyrna Beach Police Detective Walsh at 386-254-1537 Ext. 13177 or via email at bwalsh@vcso.us. Those who wish to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers of Northeast Florida at 1-888-277-8477 (TIPS) or via online at NEFCrimestoppers.com and use the P3 tips app.
“Please be on the lookout for Chloie and help us bring her home,” police said in a statement obtained by the news station.
Chloie is believed to be between 5’4″ and 5’6″ tall. A photo distributed by the police department indicates Chloie is white with dark hair.
