Bravo star Andy Cohen asks public for tips in disappearance of childhood friend who fled from hospital

“Real Housewives” host Andy Cohen made a public plea last week for information in the disappearance of a New York man who has not been seen or heard from since late last month.

Last Thursday, Cohen, 53, shared the Missing Persons Clearinghouse’s missing vulnerable person alert for Andrew Neiman, 48, who vanished after leaving MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie on May 21. Cohen explained to Page Six that he and Neiman both attended Clayton High School in St. Louis, Missouri.

“Andy is younger than me, but we went to the same camp — Nebagamon in Wisconsin — and the same high school. I’m praying for his safe return, along with a lot of folks in St. Louis,” Cohen said.

According to the news outlet, Neiman has bipolar disorder and was admitted to the hospital for mental health issues. He was last seen walking out of the emergency room only wearing green scrubs and socks, as CrimeOnline previously reported. He reportedly did not have any money or his phone at the time.

Neiman’s sister said in a Facebook post that he begged her to get him out of the hospital but staff determined he was unfit to be discharged following a psychiatric evaluation. The sister confirmed to Page Six that Neiman suffered a psychotic break while staying with her family in High Falls.

Poughkeepsie police said Neiman is 5 feet 10 inches tall, 160 pounds, and is unshaven. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact Detective Brad Cookinham at 845-485-3670 or BCookinham@townofpoughkeepsie-ny.gov, or call the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department at 845-485-3666.
