A Nebraska woman has been sentenced to over 60 years in prison after she was convicted of sexually assaulting children at her daughter’s sleepover — and her daughter testified against her.
As Yahoo reports, 38-year-old Christina Greer was convicted in March on three counts sexual abuse of a child, six counts of felony child abuse, and two counts of witness tampering. The sexual assault victims were two boys, ages 12 and 13, who had been at her home for a sleepover with her then 12-year-old daughter.
Court testimony reportedly showed that Greer groomed the two boys to have sex with her. Additionally, one of the victims had sexually explicit photos of Greer on his phone, according to the report.
According to the Omaha World-Herald, prosecutors said Greer gave her daughter and friends marijuana-infused gummy bears and alcohol on multiple occasions in 2017 and 2018. Greer’s daughter reportedly testified in court that she had gone shopping with her mother when Greer bought watermelon margarita mixed and served those cocktails at a gathering at their home. According to the report, the girl testified that she and her friends got intoxicated “every time” at the parties.
Greer also reportedly told the children not to disclose what went on during the sleepovers and directed them to delete any incriminating images from their phones.
Greer was sentenced on Monday to between 64 and 102 in prison.
“The victims had to go through a lot, to put it lightly,” prosecutor Phil Kleine with the Sarpy County Attorney’s office reportedly said. “I hope that, with the court’s sentence, the victims will be able to find some form of closure and be able to move forward with their lives.”
