Georgia police have released a sketch of a toddler whose body was found Thursday in the Chattahoochee River.
Earlier Friday, Cobb County police arrested Breyanla Cooper and charged her with concealing the death of another, as CrimeOnline previously reported.
Investigators have not said how Cooper is connected with the child, but Cobb County Police Sgt Wayne Delk told Fox 5 Atlanta that detectives had received “information from the public that did lead them to the suspect.”
Cooper’s arrest warrant says that she “did conceal the death of the victim, by placing the victim in the Chattahoochee River at the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area” sometime between 5 and 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
A Georgia Bureau of Investigation sketch artist created the sketch while the state crime lab conducts an autopsy.
“We don’t have anything to release at this point. Still waiting for that from the medical examiner’s office and the detectives,” said Delk.
The investigation continues. Anyone with information is urged to call the GBI tip line at 770-499-4111.
Cooper, meanwhile, is being held without bond at the Cobb County Detention Center.
