Police in Pennsylvania are looking for a young woman who vanished during a visit to Philadelphia.
According to WLVI, Cassandra Johnston, 26, of Southampton, was last seen early Saturday morning leaving a home bordering the Chinatown neighborhood of Philadelphia.
As CBS Philadelphia reports, police recovered Johnston’s phone from near that location, but there has been no sign of her or her car for several days.
She reportedly drives a 2016 silver Ford Focus with a Temple sticker on the back. She is a student at Temple University.
Her family and boyfriend say is it not like Cassandra to be out of contact.
“She’s not the best with directions,” her boyfriend Matt Bastik told CBS Philadelphia. “I’m just hoping she’s lost, I don’t want to think about anything else.”
Johnson reportedly has bipolar disorder, and her mother Carolann does not believe she had her medication with her. Beyond that her mother does not believe anything was troubling Cassandra.
“She was upbeat and fine, didn’t seem like there was anything wrong with her,” Carolann told the news station.
Cassandra’s family said that when last seen, she was wearing the same clothes she is in the photograph distributed by police, which appears to be a white tube top and an animal print skirt or pants.
Anyone with information is urged to call Lower Southampton police at 215-357-1235 ext 339.
