An investigation is underway in New York after a deceased man was reportedly discovered on Monday with the words “I touch little girls” written on him.
Law enforcement sources revealed to WNBC that the man was found dead in the hallway of a Staten Island apartment building. The accusatory message was etched onto his chest with black ink, according to the New York Post.
Sources told the Post that the man also had the words “I take dolls in my room for girls age 1-5” on his stomach and “I touch” on his right foot.
According to the news outlet, the deceased man has 24 prior arrests but is not a registered sex offender. Sources said he had arrests in 1987 and 1992 for assault in addition to a 1996 drug offense.
The New York Daily News reported that the deceased man was in his 70s. Sources told the news outlet that he had a broken nose, injuries to his arms, and swelling to his eyes and cheeks — suggesting he was somehow attacked.
The man’s cause of death is not immediately known. Officials have not disclosed his identity as they are in the process of contacting his family.
