Two children found dead, ‘beyond assistance’ in Nevada gated community; police says deaths are suspicious

Police are investigating the “suspicious” deaths of two children whose bodies were found in a gated community near Las Vegas.

KLAS, emergency responders reported to a residence in The Willows gated community in Henderson Monday night, when they found two unresponsive children. Henderson Police reportedly said that the children were “beyond assistance” and were declared dead at the scene.

Authorities have not released the ages or any identifying details about the victims, pending the notification of next of kin. Henderson police told the news station that the incident “appears to be suspicious in nature,” but have not yet provided further details.

Neighbors told KLAS they did not hear anything that might explain how the children died, but noticed a number of police vehicles arrive to the gated community on Monday night. The neighbors also said they saw a man kneeling on the ground with his head down. It is not clear if that man has any relationship to the children or their deaths.

Police have not yet made any arrests or publicly named any persons of interest.

This is a developing story. CrimeOnline will provide further updates when more information is available.
