Authorities in Utah are investigating the death of a 4-year-old boy who was found dead in his home hours after being reported missing.
As CrimeOnline previously reported, Kache Wallis, 4, was reported missing on Sunday morning when he was missing from his bed at his home in Hurricane City. Later the same day, after investigators searched the home for a second time, Kache was found dead in his bedroom. He was reportedly “hidden,” but investigators have not yet provided further information about where in the bedroom he was found.
Before Kache was found, police initially suspected Kache may have been with his non-custodial mother, but after questioning her determined that she had not abducted the boy.
Now, ABC 4 Utah reports that both parents were at the home when Kache went missing. It is unclear what this development means for the investigation. Police are reportedly waiting on the results of an autopsy before making further determinations.
“Based on the situation surrounding where he was located, we can’t make a definitive determination of accident or otherwise this point in time, we’re waiting on information from the Medical Examiner’s Office before we make that determination,” Hurricane Police Officer Dan Raddatz told the news station.
CrimeOnline will provide further updates when more information is available.
