A teen boy has been charged in a fatal shooting at a Sweet Sixteen party that killed one woman and injured six other.
According to the New York Post, an unidentified 17-year-old boy has been charged with murder in the death of 20-year-old Dayjionna Long. The suspect is believed to be one of several gunmen who opened fire at the birthday party in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, last November. The six people injured were all between the ages of 14 to 19.
Authorities have not determined a motive, but investigators reportedly believe the gunfire may have been in retaliation for a nearby shooting that injured at 17-year-old gang member.
Police have not apprehended any further suspects at this time.
