Chris Chan: Internet Personality Accused of Raping Elderly Mom Says They’re ‘Literally’ Jesus Christ in Note to Lawyer [Report]

Chris Chan, the controversial internet personality who was arrested in August amid allegations she sexually assaulted her mother, reportedly compared her plight to that of Jesus in a letter penned to her lawyer.

According to KVIA, Chris Chan, whose legal name is Christine Weston Chandler, 39, said in a letter dated September 19, “I am Literally the Real Player One; the One Avatar; and this Body, Eyes, Mind and all is the One God Body, and I am Literally also Jesus Christ, Himself, fully reincarnated and fully reawakened.”

She reportedly also wrote, “My life events at present and so far can directly be compared and matched with that which have been chronicled of none other than Jesus Christ of Nazareth himself, in any Holy Bible.”

(Chandler identifies as a transwoman and uses she/her pronouns. Amid the heated debate surrounding Chandler’s gender identity, Crime Online will use she/her pronouns in accordance with officials’ statements, court documents, and local media reports.)

Chandler reportedly addressed his court-appointed lawyer, David Heilberg, and Kiwi Farms creator Joshua Moon, who lives anonymously in Europe. Kiwi Farms is a controversial online forum that focuses on online personalities who are popular or unconventional — the latter of which are called “Lolcows.” The forum has been linked to at least three suicides, according to Insider.

In the letter, Chandler reportedly also asked for any image of her wearing glasses to be Photoshopped — so her so-called resemblance to Jesus could be seen.

“A naturally growing brown beard, mustache, and sideburns. Now place that photo next to any image of Jesus on of off the cross; compare, look deep into my eyes and photograph; see for yourself, I meditate and connect, directly and genuinely with the Cosmos, both of our Universe halves, and throughout the timelines, and entire Mutiverse,” she wrote, according to KVIA.

Chandler, 39, was arrested days after an audio recording leaked in which Chandler is allegedly heard admitting to raping her 79-year-old mother who reportedly has dementia.

Chandler is only charged with incest at this point, not rape. Authorities have not publicly identified the other person involved in the incest case, but Greene County police described them as a “victim” in a news release. Their investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be forthcoming.

Chandler was first introduced to many as Chris Chan, the creator of Sonichu, a fictional webcomic that borrows inspiration from Sonic the Hedgehog and Pikachu from the Pokemon series. In the decades that followed, Chandler has been the target of countless online and in-person doxing and trolling campaigns.

Chandler’s life has essentially unfolded for the world to see — and, at some points, to manipulate. An entire Wiki page painstakingly chronicles the native Virginian’s minutest details— including what outfit they wore in a vlog — and Chandler is the subject of an ongoing YouTube documentary series that is on its 59th installment.

Chandler remains jailed without bond.
