Wisconsin authorities are searching for a man and his baby after they vanished following a car crash.
According to investigators, 24-year-old Jordan and his 4-month-old child Serenity were in a minor car accident in Lamartine on Thursday night, at around 10:30 p.m. After the vehicle crashed and landed into a ditch off of Brown Street, Jordan took the baby and walked toward some nearby woods.
Fox 15 reports that a female followed Jordan and the baby on foot into a marshy area but was unable to find them. She eventually got the car out of the ditch, drove home, and called Jordan. When she still couldn’t get in touch with him, she contacted police.
“Jordan and his baby, who was removed from the vehicle and carried in a car seat, left the vehicle and walked into a marshy area and the female lost sight of them a short time later,” the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Department said.
Deputies searching the area reportedly said they found the baby’s car seat in a wooded area not far from the crash scene. The baby was not in the car seat.
Serenity was last seen wrapped up in a blanket while Jordan was last seen wearing grey jogger pants and a dark blue hooded sweatshirt.
Anyone with information on the pair’s whereabouts should contact the Fond Du Lac County Sheriff’s Department at 920-929-3390.
