New Hampshire police are looking for a 5-year-old boy who hasn’t been seen for six months.
The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office said that Elijah Lewis has not been reported missing but has not been seen by “independent individuals” since earlier this year, the Union Leader reported.
Investigators said they’re also looking for the boy’s mother, 35-year-old Danielle Denise Dauphinais, saying she may be with 30-year-old Joseph Stapf.
The Union Leader said investigators were out on Naticook Lake in Merrimack searching for evidence on Saturday. WMUR said the spot was Elijah’s last known location and his home.
The Merrimack Police Department said they were alerted to Elijah’s disappearance on Thursday by the state Department of Children, Youth, and Families.
Authorities described Dauphinais as 5 feet 4 inches tall and about 165 pounds with brown hair and eyes. Stapf was said to be 5 feet 10 inches tall and about 170 pounds with brown hair and green eyes.
They were last seen driving a 2007 Toyota Tundra with New Hampshire license plate JOJOD78, although authorities did not say when they were last seen.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Merrimack Police Department at (603) 424-2424 or the State Police Communications at (603) 223-4381 or 603-MCU-TIPS (603) 628-8477.
