AMBER Alert: Tot Boy & SUV Stolen from Home as Dad Unloads Groceries [Reports]

Georgia authorities are searching for a 1-year-old who disappeared Wednesday morning from his Clarkston home.

According to police, toddler Blaise Barnett was in a gray 2002 Ford Explorer that was taken from his home off of Montreal Drive. He was last seen wearing a diaper and black shirt with blue dinosaurs on it. He also had a grey blanket wrapped around him.

The Explorer has a Georgia license plate, P2722946, and a “Tag Applied For” in the vehicle’s back window.

Atlanta’s 11Alive News spoke to the child’s mother, who had a message for the person who took her child.

“If he’s cold, just keep him warm. I know he’s crying right now. Don’t get upset at the crying. He’s just a baby. He doesn’t know what’s going on. He doesn’t know who you are. Don’t get irritated. I beg you.”

The mother said he went grocery shopping Wednesday morning with Blaise and his father, and their nephew. When Blaise’s father brought the nephew and groceries inside the home, someone jumped in the Explorer and drove away. Blaise was still inside the vehicle.

On Wednesday afternoon, police announced that they have found the vehicle, but Blaise was not located. So far, there is no suspect information.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the Clarkston Police Department at 404-557-8956 or 404-292-9465.
