Police have told rocker Chris Daughtry that his stepdaughter’s death was a homicide.
Sources connected to the family also told TMZ Hannah Price’s boyfriend, Bobby Jolly, was arrested on Friday, the same day the Nashville Police Department found her body at her home.
While police have not said if the arrest was was connected with Price’s death, District 8 Attorney General Jared Effler told TMZ that Fentress County, where Jolly was arrested, is conducting a death investigation.
Daughtry’s band abruptly cancelled its tour dates at the news, as CrimeOnline previously reported.
“Due to the unexpected death of Chris and Deanna Daughtry’s daughter, Hannah, all currently scheduled shows for the coming week for Daughtry have been postponed,” the band said in a written statement posted to Twitter.
Price, 25, and her 23-year-old brother Griffin are children of Deanna Daughtry, Chris Daughtry’s wife, from a previous relationship. Daughtry, 41, and his wife, 48, have 10-year-old twins, Adalynn Rose and Noah James, together.
According to the New York Post, Hannah Price’s recent life has been difficult. Her biological father committed suicide in March 2018, and just a few months later, she was shot in the face during a run in with gang members. That injury prompted several surgeries. In April, she and a man were arrested in a hit-and-run incident that involved gunshots.

Investigators have not said publicly how Price died, but Deanna Daughtry wrote in an Instagram post that the family was “awaiting the autopsy results to determine how Hannah sustained the injuries that caused her death.”
In an Instagram post of his own Saturday morning, Chris Daughtry wrote that he was “absolutely devastated and heartbroken.”
“I just recently lost my mother to cancer but I was blessed with the chance to say goodbye and I was processing it privately,” he said. “We never got to say goodbye to our precious Hannah and it’s another huge hit to our family.”
