Two women who’d been party-hopping around Los Angeles last week were later dropped off at different hospitals — where one died and one is fighting for her life.
Christy Giles, a 24-year-old model originally from Alabama, was dumped on the sidewalk in front of Southern California Hospital in Culver City, where she died, Fox News said. Two hours later, her friend Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola, an interior designer from Mexico, was dropped off at Kaiser West Los Angeles, where she remains hospitalized.
A third friend was with the two women at a warehouse party earlier in the evening but decided not to accompany them to their next stop in the Hollywood Hills. Jan Cilliers, Giles’s husband, told KNBC that the friend told him Cabrales-Arzola and his wife hooked up with a group of men at the warehouse party.
“We assume that the way the girls got in the car with them was that they were all going to go to the after party that everyone wanted to go to together,” Cilliers said. “And they never ended up making it there.”
“Her friends were expecting her to arrive there but for some reason they ended up at this guy’s house and they never left alive,” Cilliers told Fox, adding that he had been in San Francisco visiting his father at the time.
Cilliers told Fox that his wife was a recreational drug user but would never have used any hard drugs.
“One-hundred percent they were drugged,” he said.
The Los Angeles Police Department told KNBC it was investigating Giles’s death as undetermined and looking to see if there are other connected incidents.
