The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued an AMBER Alert Wednesday morning for a 2-day old girl who vanished after her mother was killed.
Kennedy Hoyle was last seen Tuesday with her mother, 27-year-old Danielle Hoyle. Police found Hoyle shot to death near her car, which was found abandoned near Sedgwick Drive in Levi Road in Memphis. Hoyle’s body was located near her vehicle.
“The preliminary information revealed that the victim had been shot. Additionally, officers were advised that the victim’s 2-day-old child, Kennedy Hoyle, was last seen with the victim; however, no child was located,” Memphis police said Tuesday.
News Channel 3 reports that family members said they last heard from Hoyle on Tuesday when she said she was taking the baby to get vaccinations. Police later informed them that they found a body and vehicle, but the infant was missing.
“They said there was an active crime scene. I don’t even know where it is. They said they were gonna do fingerprints, and again try to figure out if it’s her,” Hoyle’s mother said, referring to her daughter.
