Missing Uber Driver Found Dead Hours After Her Car Is Discovered Without Dash Cam: Reports

A missing Pennsylvania woman’s body was discovered on Saturday, days after she vanished while possibly picking up fares for Uber.

According to WPXI, Christina Spicuzza, 38, was found deceased on a wooded hillside in Monroeville. Allegheny County police are reportedly investigating the case as a homicide due to the suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.

Spicuzza reportedly last spoke with her fiancé on the phone on Thursday evening. At the time, she said she was leaving Steel City Vapors in Monroeville to do some Uber rides. Spicuzza’s fiancé said her phone turned off at 4 a.m. on Friday but pinged at 8:45 a.m, WPXI reported.

Uber has not yet publicly disclosed whether Spicuzza picked up a fare — meaning it is unclear who the possible passenger was and where Spicuzza picked them up. The company told WPXI that they are cooperating with the ongoing investigation.

Four hours before Spicuzza’s body was found, her Nissan Sentra was discovered without a dash camera in Pitcairn. WPXI reported that her purse was located in her car.

A medical examiner has not yet determined Spicuzza’s cause of death.
