Police in Colorado are investigating Thursday after finding a 38-year-old woman dead from a gunshot wound and her 28-year-old husband wounded by an apparent self-inflicted gunshot.
Investigators have not released the identities of the couple, KMGH reported. The husband was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Police responded to reports of a shooting at an apartment in southeastern Aurora, near the High Line Canal, just before 7 a.m.
The investigation revealed that the couple had argued just before the shooting and that a gun was found on the scene. Aurora Police Agent Matthew Longshore said that officers have been called to the home several times in recent months.
A teenager was in the home at the time of the shooting, Longshore said, and she was taken to police headquarters while investigators work to contact relatives. She was also provided support from victim advocates.
KMGH said that no charges had been filed by mid-afternoon.
