Hampton police in Virginia released an updated photo of a missing boy this week, who supposedly disappeared while his father was sleeping.
As CrimeOnline previously reported, 4-year-old Codi Bigsby was last seen at a home in the 100 block of Ranalet Drive, in Hampton, in the Buckroe Beach neighborhood. The child’s father, Cory Bigbsy, told police that when he woke up, his son was gone. The father added the last time he saw Codi was around 2 a.m. January 31.
Codi’s father told investigators he searched for his son inside the home but couldn’t find him. Other children who live in the home were accounted for.
CBS 3 reports that searchers continued looking for the child on Wednesday, focusing on the Berkley section of Norfolk, where Corey Bigsby once lived. Volunteers with Water Team Inc. joined in and helped expand the search area.

Hampton Police Chief Mark Talbo previously said that Codi most likely wasn’t abducted, as no evidence points toward it.
“The investigation does not indicate that he was abducted. There’s just no reason to believe it. We certainly are open to that as a possibility. It is not likely,” he said.
Meanwhile, the boy’s father remains behind bars after police arrested him on child neglect charges connected to previous incidents. No one has been charged with Codi’s disappearance.
The FBI is currently assisting in the search.
