Update: Thirteen-year-old Cassidy Chan and her dog were found safe late Wednesday, the sheriff’s office said.

San Diego County deputies are looking for a 13-year-old girl who took the family dog for a walk on Tuesday and didn’t return.
Cassidy Chan is described as 5 feet 1 inch tall and 100 pounds with straight black hair and brown eyes, according to the sheriff’s department. She was wearing black pants, a black O’Neill-brand sweatshirt, and black shoes when she left her home in Poway before 3:30 p.m.
The family’s small, white dog answers to Lucy.
