Update 5:58 p.m.: The Orange County Register reports that one person is dead, and four others are wounded, three critically. The victims are all adults.
Update 5:53 p.m.: KNBC identifies the church as the Geneva Presbyterian Church.

Multiple people have been shot at a church in Orange County’s Laguna Woods in California.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office said one person is in custody and a weapon has been recovered.
Deputies responded at about 2 p.m., KABC reported.
Firefighters and paramedics were reportedly on scene treating the injured.
It’s unclear how many people were shot or any of their conditions.

It’s also unknown if the person who was detained is a suspect.
