Five people were killed on Thursday in a house explosion in Pennsylvania.
WPVI reported that the people killed at a Pottstown home were Francine White, 67, Alana Wood, 13, Jeremiah White, 12, Nehemiah White, 10, and Tristan White, 8. Eugene White, 44, and Kristina Matuzsan, 32, are in critical condition.
Officials have not disclosed how the victims are connected, and the cause of the explosion remains under investigation.
According to WFMZ, one of the victims has undergone surgery for unspecified injuries.
Neighbors told the news outlet that they smelled gas, and Pottstown Fire Chief Frank Hand said a propane tank was located among the rubble.
Hand said two homes that were part of a duplex were completely destroyed and roughly 10 houses were damaged.
