A 35-year-old man was found dead in his Queens apartment Tuesday evening stabbed so many times that his intestines were outside his body.

The New York Daily News said that police determined the death was a homicide and said an autopsy would confirm the cause of death.

Worried family members asked for a welfare check on the man when they hadn’t heard from him, according to police sources.

Officers entered the apartment and found the victim dead, with multiple stab wounds to the torso. They have not yet released his name.
