Police in Massachusetts are asking for help finding a 3-year-old boy we went missing from his babysitter’s home Tuesday morning.
Lowell Police said the boy’s parents dropped him off at his babysitter’s home at about 7 a.m. The babysitter reported him missing at 9:30 a.m.
“We suspect nothing more than a missing or lost child, and the child just walked away,” said Lowell Police Chief Barry Golner, according to WCVB. “There is nothing to indicate any foul play.”
Investigators say that a neighbor saw the boy, identified as Harry, in the babysitter’s yard about 15 minutes before he was reported missing.
Police said about 180 police officers and firefighters were taking part in the search, which includes portions of the Lowell Dracut Tyngsborough State Forest and swampland.
WCVB said the search appeared to have been called off for the night.
Harry was wearing a long-sleeved, maroon shirt and gray pants with a white stripe, investigators said.
Anyone with information should call 911 or Lowell Police at 978-937-3200.
