A Georgia man was arrested early Monday morning and charged with stabbing three people, including a 3-year-old girl.
Police said the victims had blunt force trauma injuries as well as stab wounds, WRDW reported.
In addition to the toddler, the girl’s mother, Elizabeth Nelson, and grandmother, Darlene Freund, were stabbed.
The suspect, identified as Phillip Marshall, was said to be an acquaintance of the family.
The victims told police that he appeared to be under the influence of something.
Marshall reportedly fled the scene before police arrived. He was found about four hours later, wearing only underwear.
He has been charged with three counts of aggravated assault, and investigator say further charges are pending.
