The search for a missing California woman turned up potential new evidence this weekend as the reward for information leading to her location stands at $100,000, Fox 2 reports.
On Saturday, family, friends and volunteers gathered in Oakley to look for any clues that might shed light on what happened to 24-year-old Alexis Gabe. Gabe was last seen alive in January and police believe she was killed by her former boyfriend, although her body has not been found.
Several weeks ago, investigators discovered a phone screen protector in some bushes that allegedly had DNA on it belonging to her ex-boyfriend, Marshall Jones.
Saturday’s search effort focused on the same area where the screen protector was found in Oakley.
The search yielded women’s undergarments, a camera, and a glove, according to a Facebook post from Gabe’s father, Gwyn Gabe. Police were contacted and collected the items.
“Here are some of the things we found today,” Gwyn Gabe wrote in the post. “That camera looks like it’s from an iphone. We knew Marshall was wearing gloves that night so they might be his.”
When I first saw the ladies undergarments I didn’t pay much attention to them because I thought they were just nothing until my wife Rowena saw them. She immediately recognized them and thinks they are our daughter’s. The OPD picked up everything we found. They even searched the abandoned house. They might return with cadaver dogs to search the area.
As CrimeOnline previously reported, authorities last week released to Alexis Gabe’s family a handwritten note that Jones allegedly wrote with directions to where he may have buried her body.

The directions reportedly include highly specific and detailed notes about where he allegedly disposed of the woman’s body in Pioneer, California, which is about 60 miles east of Sacramento.
Police last month shot and killed Jones in a confrontation with officers.
“It has been the hardest five-and-a-half months of our lives,” Gwyn Gabe told the television station. “We never thought we would be in this situation.”
A $100,000 reward is being offered for information that directly results in Alexis Gabe’s location, according to KRON-TV.
Gabe is 5-foot-7 and 170 pounds, with long black hair, brown eyes and dark-rimmed eyeglasses.
