A Texas man died on Saturday after allegedly shooting a woman in the neck — only to have the bullet exit and strike him in the leg.
Dallas Police did not say exactly how or why the shooting took place.
The preliminary investigation determined at the apartment, the male, Byron Redmon, 26, shot the adult female victim in the neck. The bullet then exited and hit Redmon in the leg. Redmon died at the hospital.

Officer responded to reports of a shooting at about 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, finding a substantial amount of blood and a blood trail outside an apartment but no one inside the apartment, WFAA reported.
At about the same time, reports came in that a man and woman with gunshot wounds had been found in a vehicle outside a nearby hospital.
Investigators determined that they were involved in the shooting at the apartment, and that Byron Redmon had shot the woman and then been hit by the same bullet.
Redmon later died from his wounds.
The woman, who was not named, was treated and released.
Investigators said they are still looking into the shooting.
