Recently-released documents indicated that Amber Heard’s legal team accused Johnny Depp of having erectile dysfunction, which they said is relevant to Heard’s accusations of domestic violence and rape.
Page Six obtained a May 28 filing in which Heard’s said that Depp’s private medical condition may have influenced his anger and violent behavior — which allegedly included Depp, 59, sexually assaulting Heard, 36, with a liquor bottle. Depp has denied being a domestic abuser and raping Heard, but Heard testified that Depp also threatened to “carve up” her face with the bottle in 2015.
During cross-examination, Heard admitted she did not seek medical attention for the alleged incident involving the liquor bottle.
In June, jurors found that Heard defamed Depp on multiple instances and awarded him $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damage, though the latter judgment was reduced to $350,000, which is the maximum that could be awarded in Virginia. Depp’s attorney was also found to have defamed Heard, to which the court ordered him to pay $2 million in damages.
Both parties plan to appeal the judgment.
