An Instagram and OnlyFans influencer has been arrested for the murder of her boyfriend earlier this year at their apartment in Miami.
Courtney Clenney, 25, was arrested in Hawaii and will be extradited to Florida this week, WPLG reported.
Clenney, known as Courtney Tailor on Instagram, was hospitalized under Florida’s Baker Act because she was threatening to kill herself after officers found Christian Obumseli with multiple stab wounds in the apartment. He was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, as CrimeOnline previously reported.
The Baker Act allows certain officials to send someone who displays violent or suicidal tendencies to a mental health treatment center for up to 72 hours.
Video shot from a neighboring apartment showed Clenney on the balcony of her apartment with her clothes blood-stained, WPLG reported.
An attorney for Clenney said in April that Clenney “was a victim of physical, emotional, and mental abuse at the hands of Obumseli” and killed him in self-defense.
Friends of the couple, however, said it was unimaginable that Obumseli could have been violent toward Clenney.
“We’ve seen her hit him. I’ve never seen him hit her,” Ashley Vaughn said at the time, adding that friends “believe that Christian wouldn’t put her in a position where she would need to stab him to protect herself.”
The Miami Herald said the two had been dating for about two years and living at the apartment building for several months at the time of the incident. Apartment staff, however, had noted multiple domestic incidents and tried to evict them. Larry Handfield, an attorney for Obumseli’s family, said the police visited the apartment on domestic calls at least four times, never taking Obumseli into custody or charging him.
Police have not said what led them to charge Clenney with murder, although they expect to hold a news conference when Clenney is returned to Miami.
Clenney was arrested Wednesday in Hawaii, where she had been at a treatment center for substance abuse and post traumatic disorder.
