Police in Troup County, Georgia, are searching for a man accused of raping a woman in a parking lot earlier this month before fleeing the scene.
According to 11 Alive, the incident happened on August 9 at around 2 p.m., at a church off of Roanoke Road and Pegasus Parkway. The victim told police that she was going into the church driveway when a man driving a large, dark blue pick-up truck pulled up to her and asked if she needed a ride.
The suspect then got out of his vehicle and began following the victim. She told police she tried to get away but the suspect stopped her and raped her. The sheriff’s office released a sketch of the victim after the incident, in hopes that someone will recognize him.
