Mystery Surrounds Pool of Human Blood Found Near High School; Cops Seek Tips

An investigation is underway after a pool of human blood was found near a Pennsylvania high school on Saturday.

WGAL reported the pool of blood was roughly 4 feet by 7 feet wide and located in the road and grass not far from Cumberland Valley High School in Silver Spring Township. Police said they checked nearby residences and an elder care facility for any missing persons but recovered no leads.

According to WHP, officers reportedly also found a pair of black Ray-Ban prescription glasses in the vicinity. However, it is unclear whether it is connected to the pool of blood discovered on Saturday.

“This is clearly at least, at the minimum, a very serious injury involved. Somebody somewhere is the victim of that, not necessarily of a crime, but of that injury,” Silver Spring police Chief Christopher Raubenstine commented.

Anyone with information regarding this case should call Silver Spring police Detective Cory Keen at 717-697-0607, extension 2004.
