Mom of Baby Girl Missing Since 2019 Arrested on Neglect Charges

Amber Robertson, the mother of an Indiana baby girl who disappeared in 2019, was arrested Saturday on four counts of neglect.

Amiah Robertson was 8-months-old when she was last seen in the company of her mother’s ex-boyfriend, Robert Lyons, on March 9, 2019, as CrimeOnline previously reported.

Indianapolis Metro Police confirmed that Robertson was arrested — but wouldn’t say if the arrest was related to Amiah’s disappearance, WTHR reported.

The baby’s family reported the little girl missing on March 16, but Indianapolis police said the results of their investigation and conflicting statements from family members prompted them to issue a Silver Alert three days later.

Since then, police have followed up on tips leading them to a lake in Wayne Township to a nearby creek and beyond — but to date, there’s been no sign of baby Amiah.

Lyons was named as a suspect in the case early on, but he was never charged.

Anyone with information about Amiah’s disappearance is urged to contact the IMPD Homicide Office at 317.327.3475 or call Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at 317.262.8477 or (TIPS).
