A 12-year-old Texas girl died on last week, days after she reportedly shot herself and her father as part of a planned murder-suicide involving another girl.
On September 20, Parker County police found the girl lying in the street with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Her 38-year-old father was discovered in their home with a gunshot wound to the abdomen, according to KDFI.
The girl is believed to have shot her father before turning the gun on herself, as CrimeOnline previously reported. The girl died two days later on September 22, and the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled her death a suicide caused by a gunshot wound to the head.
According to KDFI, the 12-year-old girl was in a pact with another 12-year-old girl from Lufkin. The 12-year-old girl who is now deceased allegedly also planned to murder her family and pets. The Lufkin girl was expected to kill her father but she did not go through with it. The 12-year-olds reportedly intended to flee to Georgia after carrying out the slayings.
The father who was shot last week is expected to recover. Meanwhile, the deceased girl’s friend was charged with criminal conspiracy to commit murder for her role in the September 20 incident. She has not been publicly named.
