A Kentucky man was arrested Monday for allegedly kissing a 5-year-old girl on the mouth while on a cruise aboard the Carnival Sunrise.

Ernest Richard Bishop, Jr., 51, was taken into custody Monday when the ship returned to port in Miami, WPLG reported.

The victim’s father said he saw Bishop kiss his daughter while the ship was at sea Saturday night, Bishop’s arrest report said.

According to WTVJ, Bishop initially refused to speak with detectives without an attorney present. At that point, he was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a charge of lewd and lascivious behavior on a child less than 16-years-old.

Bishop’s arraignment has been set for early November.

He was released on a $7,500 bond, WPLG said.
