A 22-year-old man in northwest Georgia was arrested this week and charged with breaking a 3-month-old girl’s neck and trying to smother her twin sister.
Robert Terrell Dubose Jr is charged with aggravated assault and cruelty to children, according to the Coosa Valley News and jail records.
According to a warrant filed in the case, Dubose initially put a pillow over both the little girl’s faces because they were crying.
There’s no word on the condition of the two babies, but the Coosa Valley News said they were born five months premature.
The attack on the girls took place on October 3, and Dubose was arrested on October 11. Investigators did not say if or how he was related to the girls.
He’s being held in the Floyd County Jail without bond, WAGA reported.
