On Monday, the FBI reportedly searched a Kentucky farm where a missing woman was last seen in 2015.
The Bardstown farm at the center of the search is linked to Crystal Rogers’ ex-boyfriend, Brooks Houck. The Louisville Courier-Journal reported that the farm sits on about 30 acres of land, which is owned by Houck’s mother.
According to WAVE, Rogers was attending a party on the farm when she vanished.
WLKY reported that items were seen being taken out of a barn and into a tent that authorities set up on the property. Sources told the outlet that authorities are zeroing in on three places of interest, one being the Houck family farm.
Rogers was reported missing by her mother on July 3, 2015. Two days later, her car was found abandoned with a flat tire on the Bluegrass Parkway. Her keys, phone, and purse were inside the vehicle.
Authorities reportedly believe Rogers’ ex-boyfriend was the last person to see her alive. A year after Rogers’ disappearance, her ex-boyfriend’s brother was fired from the Bardstown Police Department for allegedly interfering with the investigation.
Last year, authorities searched a subdivision in Bardstown where Houck owns three properties. They reportedly found various items of interest, but they did not disclose what they are.
Houck is the father of Rogers’ youngest child. He has never been charged or arrested in connection with her unsolved disappearance.
