Nebraska police are searching for a Douglas County woman who hasn’t been seen since Saturday night.
According to News Channel Nebraska, 43-year-old Cari Allen was last seen on November 19 at around 11 p.m. She was last seen near 168th and Blondo streets in Douglas County. Allen is described as a white female who stands 5-feet-8-inches tall and weighs around 130 pounds. She has blonde hair and hazel eyes.
“If it’s a missing adult without any type of contact that the individual hasn’t contact anyone, from our agency standpoint, we’re going to pull out all the stops to find out why that individual is missing,” Chief Deputy Wayne Hudson, with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, said, according to ABC 7.
Neighbor Alex Mueller reportedly said Allen’s son was visiting his father when she vanished. Her car was still in the garage when deputies began searching her residence, Mueller added.
“She’s wonderful. She’s been our neighbor for over ten years, and her son played with our kids. And it was, you know, just a few weeks ago, he played basketball with our kids in the backyard. I mean, we’re, we’re close,” Mueller told ABC 7.
“I just can’t imagine she would leave of her own volition. So, it’s just a very scary situation.”
Meanwhile, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said that Topeka police have joined in the search efforts.
Anyone with information on Cari’s whereabouts should call the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office tip line at 402-444-6000 or 911.
