A missing California woman whose case was nationally-featured on “Crime Stories with Nancy Grace” has been found safe. Sacramento police confirmed that Aeris Hammock was found safe on December 14.
As CrimeOnline previously reported, 24-year-old Aeris disappeared on December 9 from south Sacramento. Police said she was “at risk due to a medical condition.”
Several days after the case was featured on “Crime Stories,” police found Aeris in what Grace called a “very questionable location.”
“There are a lot of factors in her disappearance and her discovery. And I can tell you this: She’s gone through a lot, mentally and emotionally. She, along with her family, are trying to recover,” Grace told Fox News Digital.
Aeris’ father, Charles Hammock, appeared on “Crime Stories” and pleaded for his daughter’s safe return. Grace connected him with the USPA Nationwide Security rescue expert Brian Fitzgibbons, who helped create a tip line specifically for Aeris’ disappearance.
A tip that came through led investigators to Aeris. Fitzgibbons said the tip line was a “key ingredient” to finding Aeris.
“As we approach Christmas especially, I am so grateful Crime Stories could help bring Aeris back,” Grace told Fox News Digital.
“I don’t know what she is living through, but I’m so relieved she could be helped. I’m so blessed to have a wonderful team at FOX Nation and CrimeOnline; all of us [are] committed to fighting crime and finding missing people every single day.”
