Two young children were found dead in a San Francisco home Friday morning, ad a woman was arrested when investigators deemed the deaths “suspicious.”
San Francisco police said they were called to the Bayview neighborhood at about 7:30 a.m. for “tow unresponsive juveniles.” There, the children’s parents reportedly directed through the house. Officers rendered aid until medics arrived, but the children were pronounced dead, KTVU reported.
The San Fransciso Medical Examiner determined the deaths of the 1-year-old and 5-year-old girls to be “suspicious,” and homicide detectives took over. They arrested 34-year-old Paulesha Alma Green-Pulliam on two counts of murder.
Police said she is a resident of San Francisco and a mother but did not say if she is the mother of the two girls.
Investigators have not determined a cause of death or a motive, but a police deputy chief told KPIX the murders were “absolutely horrible.”
According to jail records, Green-Pulliam is being held without bond.
Police said the case is open and asked anyone with information to contact the tip line at (415) 575-4444 or via “Text a Tip” to TIP411 and begin the text message with “SFPD.” Anonymous reporting is available.
