A Florida mother is behind bars after police say she killed her own child inside their home early this morning.
According to NBC 6, the incident happened at an apartment building at 1051 NE 163rd Street in North Miami Beach. Police arrived at the apartment early Tuesday morning after a 911 call and discovered a 3-year-old girl who had been stabbed to death.
Police detained the child’s mother and consider her a suspect in the stabbing. Police have not yet released her identity.
The North Miami Police Department tweeted early Tuesday morning that the investigation is ongoing and the scene is active.
