A decomposed body was reportedly found at a New Jersey home on Friday, prompting an investigation.
The landlord of the Trenton home where a body was discovered in a garbage bag told News12 that he had evicted the tenant that lived there because he was a hoarder and residents had complained of a foul odor. The landlord said he believed the body belonged to a woman, as the evicted tenant had a girlfriend who had disappeared.
The man was reportedly evicted in November. The landlord went on to tell News12 that he and someone else were shoveling trash from a rear unit and moving bags when one of the bags opened, revealing the deceased woman’s head.
The landlord described the body as “very small.” He also claimed he last saw his former tenant last month as he retrieved his mail.
An autopsy will be performed by the Middlesex Regional Medical Examiner’s Office. Officials have not revealed the decedent’s identity or if they have a suspect in this case.
