A married Florida man and his girlfriend were arrested on Wednesday for allegedly molesting a 2-year-old in their care.
Volusia County police said the abuse was uncovered after Jason Zeak’s spouse learned he was having an affair with Andrea Shearin, 31. Zeak’s spouse reportedly obtained hundreds of text messages that revealed the abuse, which occurred in October.
Police said the text messages also mentioned plans to keep abusing the toddler. The toddler’s relationship with the suspects was not disclosed.
Zeak, 25, and Shearin are charged with lewd or lascivious molestation, lewd or lascivious exhibition, and child abuse. Zeak remains jailed on a $150,000 bond, and Shearin was bailed out on Thursday.
