A Florida girl with serious medical conditions visited her favorite police department this week, where she toured the facility, visited friends, and had a special dinner.
Dani-Lynn has been diagnosed with numerous medical conditions, including “poor left lung function” and a high antibody count, Action News Jax reports. She also has three congenital heart defects with no cure.
Due to Dani-Lynn’s high antibody count, she’s not eligible for a heart transplant, as doctors say it would be immediately unsuccessful.
With her time left, the child’s family hopes to help her check off her bucket list and do things she truly enjoys, which included a tour of the Green Cove Springs Police Department, where she had dinner with her “favorite communications officer.” She was also able to spend time with friends.
Family members reportedly said Dani-Lynn has been to the police department before and helped hand out baked goods with her loved ones. She aspires to be a police officer one day.
Meanwhile, Dani-Lynns’s family is praying for a miracle and hoping her health improves.
“Her family is doing the best they can to let her live the best life she can for what little time they have left with her. It’s a medical miracle she has made it to the age of 7,” Green Cove PD posted on Facebook.
“Her family is holding tight to their faith and praying for a miracle for Dani-Lynn.”
