Police in Houston are looking for a man who’s been missing since another man was found dead in his home last week.
According to KTRK, investigators were called the man’s home for a welfare check at about 8:30 a.m. on Friday after neighbors became concerned over a vehicle left running in the garage for several hours.
The neighbors said the homeowner wasn’t picking up his phone, so they contacted his family “and ultimately, they decided to call 911,” Houston Police Detective Blake Roberts said.
The missing man is identified as James Gerald Martin III, 37. He was last seen on Thursday, police said.
Police said the man found dead inside was 35 and had been shot multiple times. They believe he was shot on Thursday. Martin has not been charged, they said.
Investigators said they are also looking for a missing 2022 white Dodge Ram pickup truck with Oregon plate number 915LP.
Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
