Missing Michigan Teen Girl’s Phone Found at School, Disappears Under ‘Suspicious’ Circumstances

Michigan police are searching for a 15-year-old girl who disappeared under what investigators are calling suspicious circumstances.

According to ClickonDetroit, Adriana Davidson’s family members last heard from her at around 9 a.m. on Friday when she contacted them on her way to Pioneer High School in Ann Arbor. A few hours later, some friends at school reportedly talked to her.

The teen’s father, John Davidson, said she took a public bus to school but didn’t respond to his text messages afterward. He contacted the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Department after checking with her friends and going to the school.

“There’s definitely some suspicious pieces to this,” Derrick Jackson, Director of Community Engagement with Washtenaw Sheriff’s Office told 7 Action News.

Jackson said police obtained video footage that confirmed Adriana made it to school on Friday but left shortly after. Friends reportedly said that Adriana was not feeling well.

Jackson added that video footage showed that Adriana returned to school the same day at around noon, but never made it inside.

“We have no idea at this point, so that’s why we’re asking for the public’s help,” Jackson said, explaining that police don’t know where she is, why she left, or who she left with.

“The text messages between her and her friend are time stamped at 12:26 p.m. where she had texted my sister saying ‘You straight?’ and then Addy responded saying ‘No,'” her brother, Anthony Lopez, said.

The text was the last time she was heard from. Police later found her phone at school.

“When I found out that Addy was potentially missing, I knew right away she didn’t run away. The red flag for me was the phone,” Lopez said.

“I know that wherever she’s at, she’s not there willingly.”

Adriana was last seen wearing a green coat, black Ugg boots, and clear-framed glasses, according to police.

Anyone with information about Adriana’s whereabouts should contact the Washtenaw Sheriff’s Anonymous Tip Line at 734-973-7711, the Washtenaw Sheriff’s Dispatch at 734-994-2911, or email Anthony Lopez at aalopez@umich.edu.
