South Carolina crews spent another weekend unsuccessfully searching for a duck hunter lost when his boat sank on January 26.
The North Myrtle Beach Rescue Squad announced on Saturday it was discontinuing its daily searches for Tyler Doyle, but the state Department of Natural Resources said it would continue, Myrtle Beach Online reported.
“Our crews are exhausted and need to return to their families and jobs,” rescue squad said in a Facebook post on Saturday.
Sea conditions limited searching on Saturday, but the DNR said it would not be giving up the search and had brought in bloodhounds, helicopters, GPS tracking, and sonar probes.
A fellow duck hunter was organizing a candlelight vigil.
